Every year State Bank Of India (SBI) invites application of eligible student to fill the application form of entrance exam and appear for the exam and if the candidates clear all the selection procedures the candidate is given the post of probationary officer in the bank. The entrance exam is a written test which is followed by the Group Discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI). 

To begin your career in the banking industry, you can take one of the competitive examinations, based on your academic background and aspirations. 

1.The candidates appearing for SBI 2017 Entrance Exam must be a graduate from a recognized university or must possess any equivalent qualifications which is recognized by central government.
2.The candidate must not be below 21 years and not more than 30 years. Age relaxation as per Govt. rules.
3.The age is to be calculated(As on April 1, 2017) 


The selection procedure of SBI PO 2017 Entrance Exam is an extensive process as it is a three step long process and following are the steps included in selection procedure:

◾ Written Test/Exam (Prelims & Mains)
◾ Group Discussion (GD)
◾ Personal Interview (PI)

Prelims and Mains exams will be held online. Candidate who will clear the prelims exams are eligible to appear in the mains exams. After clearing the mains exams, candidates will be called for the group discussion and interview. Final selection will be based on the mains exams, interview and group discussion. The scores of the remaining two rounds will be normalized to 100 as follows: Phase/Test Max. Marks Normalized to Main Examination (Phase II) 225 75 GD & Interview (Phase III) 50 25 Total 275 100 
All the steps in the selection procedure are elimination rounds which means only a handful candidates will be shortlisted to participate in the next round of selection procedure. 

To avail the application form the candidates will have to visit the SBI official site and fill the application form by making the required amount in the form of application fee. The application form of SBI PO 2017 Entrance Exam has to be filled online only although, the payment can be made by the candidate in online. 


The candidates are required pay a sum of money in terms of application fee in order to avail or obtain the SBI PO 2017 Application Form. The amount of application fee to be paid by SC, ST candidates is different from General Category students and following is the amount of application fee and the application fee is non refundable. 
◾ SC, ST, PWD candidates - Rs 100 
◾ General, OBC candidates- Rs. 600 

For Clerks:
The State Bank of India announces the recruitment of candidates in the post of Clerks through an official notification released every year in the months of September/October for Clerical Vacancies on its website online or the Employment News. The applicants are advised to keep visiting the website of the Bank for getting any latest news on the exam.
The State Bank of India is the only public sector bank in India which conducts its Probationary Clerks/ MT Recruitment Exam separately. For the rest of the Banks, the candidates need to appear in the IBPS Common Written Exam. 

Eligibility for the Recruitment:
For Clerk Post: The applicants should be Intermediate/ Class 12th/ SSLC passed with a first class marks (5% relaxation will be given to SC/ST/PWD/XS) or should have a Diploma course passed from any State Board of Technical Education equivalent to it for this purpose.

For Clerks Post: Minimum 18 Years and Maximum 28 Years 
There will be written exam and interview conducted for all the applicants applying to the SBI Recruitment. The dates of exam will be announced by the SBI on the website of the Bank i.e. sbi.co.in.

Pattern of Exam:
The written exam for SBI Clerks will be based on the objective type and multiple choice based questions on the following main topics:
1. General Knowledge
2. General English
3. Quantitative Aptitude
4. Reasoning Ability
5. Marketing Aptitude/ Computer Knowledge

The online method of application is applicable for both the recruitment exams for all the applicants. 

SBI Specialist Officer: Recruitment Notification & Job Details 
The State Bank of India offers recruitment under the Specialist Officers for 21 different job posts online at the website of the Bank. The applicants who wish to apply in the concerned job posts should be having the necessary eligibility conditions subject to the post for which application has been made. The posts offered under the Specialists Officer post will be placed in the following Grade Scales: Junior Management, Middle Management and Senior Management scales respectively. There is a vacancy of 393 positions for the applicants who wish to work under the following job posts. 

Offered Job Posts: 
Manager, Assistant Manager & Deputy Manager (Statistical), Chief Manager, Deputy Manager & Assistant Manager (Chartered Accountant), Assistant General Manager (Risk Management), Assistant Manager (Economics), Manager (Market Risk & Risk Management), Manager (Risk Manager & Market Risk), Deputy Manager & Assistant Manager (Civil Engineering), Deputy Manager & Assistant Manager (Electrical Engineering), Deputy Manager & Assistant Manager (Official Language), Assistant General Manager, Chief Manager, Assistant Manager & Deputy Law Manager (Law), and Deputy Manager (Security). 

Pay Scale/ Range of Pay: 
Grade Scale I for Junior Management: Rs.14500-25,700; Grade Scale II for Middle Management: Rs.19400-28100; Grade Scale III for Middle Management: Rs.25700-31500; Grade Scale IV for Senior Management: Rs. 30,600-36,200; Grade Scale V for Senior Management: Rs.36200-40400 In addition to above, the candidates selected will b entitled to additional emoluments as per the post for which application has been made 

Manner of Selection: 
The candidates shall be selected on the basis of the written exam conducted for all the eligible candidates. This will be followed by the Interview/ Personality Test held for only those applicants who have been shortlisted in the written exam. 

Eligibility for Exam:
The applicants should be either of the following: CA, MA (Economics), MCA, BE/B.Tech, M.Sc., M.Phil/PhD respectively as per the post for which the application has been made.
The minimum and the maximum ages should be between 21 and 30 years for the concerned recruitment exam.

2. Go to the recruitment section of the website and find the official advertisement of the Specialist Officers Recruitment
3. Read the notification in detail to confirm your eligibility for the concerned posts in the recruitment
4. Register online at the website for filling the online application form available at the website
5. Read the instructions for form filling in detail before online applying for the offered job posts
6. Click on the “Apply Online” link to generate your online application form at the website
7. Pay the application fee of Rs.600 (Rs.100 for SC/ST/PWD) through a Demand Draft of the SBI or the Internet Banking /Debit/ Credit Cards as available
8. Fill the application fee related details on the online application form and submit it
9. Now take the print of the online application fee to be used for future references in the recruitment.
